Support our Mission and Ministry
St. George’s Chaplaincy is self-supporting and is only able to continue because of generous donations from members past and present, visitors and supporters. We are truly grateful to everyone who supports the Chaplaincy in any way - by prayer, by giving time or expertise and also through financial support. Thank you.
Increasingly we are managing our money and making donations online, so on this page is all the information you need if you would like to support us by using one of these options:
1. Donorbox: this is a quick method of making a secure payment into our Spanish account using a debit or credit card.
2. JustGiving: a UK-based website used by charities to accept donations from credit or debit cards, with the option for UK taxpayers of adding Gift Aid.
3. Online banking, either direct into our Spanish account or into the Diocese in Europe's UK account (with the option, for UK taxpayers, to boost your donation by using the Gift Aid Scheme)
Donorbox is an established facility that not-for-profit organisations can use to receive regular or one-off payments from credit and debit cards. You can donate in Euros or Sterling, and your gift will be received into our bank account in Spain. Your donation will be processed by Stripe, a secure online payments provider.
Option 3: Online Bank Transfer
When making a transfer from your account, you may wish to set up a ‘standing order’ and automate a regular transfer to St. George’s.
Make a transfer in euros to:
Account name: Iglesia Anglicana de San Jorge de Malaga
Bank name: BBVA
Account no. ES8301824109050000013475
IBAN: ES83 0182 4109 0500 0001 3475
Make a transfer in GBP to:
Account name: Diocese in Europe Fund
Bank name: Barclays Bank plc
IBAN: GB43 BARC 200605 40317039
Please note: You MUST specify that the funds are for St. George’s Malaga.
Option 2: JustGiving.com
The Diocese in Europe can receive single or monthly payments this way, using a Debit or Credit card or Paypal, and direct them to the chaplaincy you nominate. During the payment process you can choose the Gift Aid option to boost your donation by 25%.
Please note that you will NOT see a prompt from JustGiving to direct your payment to a particular chaplaincy, so look out for the "Your donation summary" page and click "Add a message of support" (see right). In the "Your message" box that follows you MUST (please!) type "St. George's Chaplaincy Malaga". This is important to ensure that your donation is sent to the chaplaincy here in Malaga,
The page is here: https://www.justgiving.com/diocese-ineurope
Payments through JustGiving are subject to small (discounted) fees charged by the payment processors (credit/debit cards, Paypal etc) of around 2%. The Gift Aid part of your donation is subject to a small admin fee. Don't let this put you off! A JustGiving gift of £100 plus Gift Aid is worth £121.65 to the Chaplaincy.
